Leštiny, wooden articular evangelic church – UNESCO heritage site
The church has to this day remained undamaged and remains in an authentic natural environment.

Tvrdošín, Roman Catholic All Saints Church – UNESCO heritage site
The late Gothic church dates from the second half of the 15th century. In the 17th century, it was rebuilt it in the Renaissance style. In 1994, it was awarded a prize by the Europe Nostra organisation, and in 2008 it was entered into the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Dolný Kubín, Roman Catholic Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria
The history of the oldest heritage site in the town dates back to the 14th century. It was rebuilt multiple times, and the reconstruction in 1880–1887 gave it its current look. The church was declared a national cultural heritage site in 1963.

Istebné, wooden articular evangelical church
A small chapel dating from 1686 originally stood on the site of the current wooden articular church of St. Michala. In 1730, the chapel was enlarged, a tower was added, and crypts were added, giving the church its current form with a floor plan of a Greek cross. The church was declared a national cultural heritage site in 1963.

Trstená, Roman Catholic Church of St. Martin
The church stands on Gothic foundations from the end of the 14th century. It is a part of the holy courtyard. A tower was added to the church during the 17th century, and its current form was acquired after World War II. The tower acts as an attractive exhibition space, and its balcony is a vista point.

Trstená, Franciscan monastery and St. George’s Church
Both buildings were finished in the 18th century, later rebuilt a number of times. St. John of Nepomuk Column is located at the front of St. George’s Church.

Veličná, Roman Catholic Church of St. Michael the Archangel
The originally Gothic church was built in the 14th century, later it was extended and rebuilt. The church is known for its folk-carved scene of the Nativity. The church was declared a national cultural heritage site in 1963.

The Roman Catholic church was built in the second half of the 15th century. Its current look is the result of multiple renovations and repairs. The church was declared a national cultural heritage site in 1963.

Zábiedovo, belfry and chapel in Hámričky
A once independent settlement Hámričky, which originated alongside the activities of hammer mills – workshops for processing metals – is also part of the village. The belfry and chapel in Hámričky were both built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and are listed as national cultural treasures.
